If you’ve looked at any alternatives to creating a mobile application then you know that our features and price are pretty compelling. But you may still have questions. Feel free to contact us if you don’t see your question below.

Is this really for big churches? What if we’re small?

The ROAR APP mobile platform is perfect for both small and large churches. We’ve worked with both kinds, and everyone in between. In fact, if you’re small you’ll be happy to know that our content management system is really simple to use and doesn’t need a lot of staff to manage updates. One person can take care of it all.

Do I need to know any programming to make my app look good?

No programming is needed. At all. Our platform is easier to use than just about any software you’ve worked with before. Simple forms help you put data into the application. Uploading logos, sermon videos, and other assets is really intuitive.

Will I be able to change stuff on my app?

Absolutely. Our content management system was designed to allow you to come back often and add messages, notes, videos, audio files, photos and more.

Will it cost me to make changes?

In almost every case the changes you want to make will be included in our monthly access fee. That said, if you want to change the app name, it’s icon or a couple of other key application items there may be a cost. But you’ll know in advance and won’t ever be surprised by our fees.

Am I locked into a contract?

Absolutely not. We know you’ll stick around once you start seeing the benefits of a mobile app and our simple platform but if you decide you need to move on, there are no contracts or cancellation fees to worry about. Some exceptions may apply. For example no refunds will be given for partial months for charges related to a promotion.

Who should use the ROAR APP?

Anyone that already has a website can sign up and have a mobile app in no time. Bloggers, Churches, Ministries, if you have a website you should consider having a mobile app. (iOS apps require Apple approval that takes approximately 10 business days)

What is social sharing?

Most of your users have a Facebook or Twitter account. Allow them to share your content with their friends instantly right from their mobile phone.

How long does the whole process take?

In most cases you will receive your login to the Content Management System the same day you register but we think you should take the Holidays off so you will be able to access the CMS after January 1, 2012. It typically takes a few days to a week to plug your information in to the CMS. Once you hit the submit button it will take about a day to process and submit your app to Apple and the Android Market. It usually takes Apple about 10 business to review and approve an app. Android app typically process in a day or two.

I don’t have a podcast. Can you help me with that?

We are focusing on a mobile delivery system for content so we are not building a system for hosting podcasts. We do recommend podbean.com for your podcasting needs. They will get you set up in no time.

Do I need to have an RSS feed?

Yes. For our system to “grab” your information you need to have a valid RSS feed for events, blogs, and podcasts. For blogs we also process Atom feeds as well. If you are not sure if you have an RSS or Atom feed contact us and we can help.

So…what’s with the name ROAR?

Well our founder, Matt McKee, really likes lions! He will deny it if you ask, but we think he leads a secret life as a lion tamer. He even has a son named Aslan. Honestly Matt founded the company because he wanted everyone to have a chance to be heard. And sometimes to do that you need to ROAR!

What do I need to do to get started? What can I expect?

There is a two-step process that you’ll go thru when you’re ready to sign up. The first step creates your account on our platform. The second step takes you to the payment page. Once you pay, you’ll be sent an introduction email that will remind you of your login/password (that you picked during your account creation) and give you the URL for logging into our platform. Once you log into our content management platform, you’ll see all the available places where you can add, edit and manage your content. At that point you can go as fast or slow as you like to get all your content into our platform.
